This guide assumes this is your first time logging in to the Analytics portal as a Designer.

You’ll get comfortable with the interface, learn the basics of creating a new dashboard, add real widgets and charts, and learn how to find meaningful insights with downtime data!

Create a New Dashboard

  1. Go to portal.shoplogix.com and log in with your customer CEX credentials.

3. Select the correct Data Source, and then title this dashboard “Starter Dashboard - <your name>” so we can keep track of it later. Click Create.

Add a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Card

  1. Let’s begin with a simple metric. Click Select Data, and then type in “OEE”.

  2. Make sure “123” is selected, and then click Advanced Configuration.


  3. Click the “123” to convert this number into a percentage, and then confirm your changes with the OK button.


  4. Click Apply to apply your first widget to your dashboard.

Click Apply to save and go back to your dashboard.

Add a Trend Chart

Let’s add a trend chart of your scheduled downtime.

This doesn’t really show us much yet. Let’s add a widget filter.

Add a Widget Filter

  1. In the same widget panel, click Add in your Widget Filters panel.

  2. Search and select “ReasonState Name

  3. De-select every item here, and then search for and select a single Reason that you really care about (in this example, we will use “Changeover”).

    4. Click OK.

    Your line graph should re-render to only show the downtime durations for “Changeover” (or whichever ReasonState Name you selected in the previous step).

Add a Trendline

Let’s finish with a Linear Regression to determine if your Changeover durations are getting longer or shorter over the course of time.

  1. Right-click on “Total Scheduled Hours” and select Duplicate.

      1. Make sure you have the correct variable set to determine the trend

      2. Select the Trend ‘type’ Linear vrs Logarithmic

      3. Select the toggle to activate the Trend line

      4. Please be patient. If you are using a formula, or a complicated data set it may take a moment for the trendline to appear.

Click Apply to save your widget to your dashboard.
