Summary

Some third party applications require our server's certificate for connecting. This would be an export of the public certificate which can be done from any browser.

Instructions for Exporting a Certificate

  • Navigate to the server and right click on "Site Info" icon in the address bar

  • In the site info dialog box click "Connector is secure"

  • Click the "Certificate is valid" link to open the certificate dialog window

  • Ensure the correct certificate information is being shown

  • On the "Details" tab of the certificate dialog click the "Export" button

  • after clicking the "Export" button the save dialog will offer several types of exports to save select the one needed by the application i.e. some application may only need the single certificate and some may need the full certificate chain. Select the type and save the file.
