Screen Management
About:
Screen Management allows you to set up and manage all your devices displaying Shoplogix from a single control center. You will be able to determine which Screens (eg. TV’s) are online or offline, add or remove these Screens, and modify what pages these screens are displaying on the fly without the need of modifying each device individually. All capabilities will be demonstrated below.

Tutorial:
Screen Management is split into two components: Portal and Client.
Portal is the control center where all the devices and Screens are managed and is accessed through this URL
https://<SERVER>.shoplogix.com/screenmanagement
Client on the other hand is what is accessed from every device using Screen Management to connect it to the Portal. Clients gain access through this URL:
https://<SERVER>.shoplogix.com/screenclient
Once the Client URL is hit in a browser on a device, that device will appear in the Portal. Now using the Portal, the user can determine which Shoplogix views are displayed on that device remotely just like a Television remote control.
Portal:

Components:
STATUS: Green when online, red when offline.
ID: Device Identification.
URL: URL that is displayed in the Client on the device.
Description: A description of the device to easily physically identify it.
ADD URL: Allows the user to enter multiple URLs that cycle based on provided duration.
IDENTIFY: When clicked, the ID will be displayed on the Device’s Client.
SUBMIT: Send data to device (eg. New URL).
DELETE: delete the device from the Portal.
Client:
As you can see, the URL ends in /screenclient because the page is determined by the Portal and not the browser. DO NOT LOAD IN PRIVATE BROWSING MODE.
Windows Desktop Application (SLX Screen Client Desktop):
The Windows Application allows devices to seamlessly launch the app on bootup, while automatically authenticating users via either BASIC or OAUTH, and automatically launching the Client.
Initial page asks users to input server they would like to access:
When the user clicks authenticate, it will intelligently detect whether the server is using BASIC authentication or OAUTH. If using BASIC, you will be directed to input Username and Password:
If OAuth authentication is detected, Users will be redirected to their computer’s default browser. Following successful login, they will be redirected back to the application at which point the ScreenClient will launch in Kiosk mode.
Android App (SLX Screen Client):
The Android app follows the same flow as the Windows Application.
Initial page asks users to input server they would like to access:
When the user clicks authenticate, it will intelligently detect whether the server is using BASIC authentication or OAuth. If using BASIC, you will be directed to input Username and Password:
Once user is authenticated and launches, the device will appear in the Portal and Screens can be managed from there, while the app will display the Client:
The app retains the server and credentials therefore the next time the app launches, it will automatically authenticate the user and launch ScreenClient.
Chrome OS App (SLX Screen Client):
The Android app follows the same flow as the Windows Application.
Initial page asks users to input server they would like to access:
When the user clicks authenticate, it will intelligently detect whether the server is using BASIC authentication or OAuth. If using BASIC, you will be directed to input Username and Password:
