Screen Management is split into two components: Portal and Client. The Portal is a web based control center where all devices are managed and Shoplogix URLs are assigned to each device. Shown below is the URL used to access the Portal side as well as the user interface:

Shown in the table below is a description of each component in the Portal side user interface:

Component

Description

Status

Will show green when online, red when offline.

ID

The unique identifier code for each Client device.

URL

The user selected Shoplogix URL that is displayed on that Client device.

Description

A description of the device to easily physically identify it.

Add URL

Allows the user to enter multiple URLs that cycle based on provided duration.

Identify

When clicked, the ID will be displayed on the corresponding Client device.

Submit

Sends updated information to the Client device such as newly added URLs or adjusted durations for each URL.

Delete

Deletes that device from the Portal.

 

The Client is also web based and must be added to every device using Screen Management to connect it to the Portal. By appending /screenclient to your regular Shoplogix URL you are able to connect your devices seamlessly to the Portal. It is important to note that you cannot use Screen Management in Private Browsing Mode or Incognito Mode. Below is the URL used to connect each device to the portal as well as a sample view:

Once the Client URL is accessed by a web browser on a device, that device will appear in the menu of the Portal. Then, using the Portal, the user can decide which Shoplogix views are displayed on that device remotely by entering the desired URL in the menu for each device.
